Giving
to mission and ministry at TOMS
How do we live out our faith and convictions in this real world?
The topic of money is a sensitive and important topic. That’s why Jesus preached 11 of his 39
parables on money? e.g. Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
We depend on your financial offering
All of our day-to-day expenses to pay staff, maintain buildings, pay utilities, etc comes from TOMS’
church members. We don’t have funding from a church head office or any large financial reserves.
The money we receive from you Sunday is what we pay our expenses with.
What does the Bible say about giving?
The Bible has a significant amount of guidance for us to consider when it comes to our sacrificial
offering. Just as we should invest time and effort in spiritual growth, fellowship and serving, so we
should prayerfully and thoughtfully decide how much to give. Giving should be considered as our
first fruits of the harvest.
‘Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under
compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’ (2 Cor 9:7).
