Computer Skills for Seniors @ Tom’s Church

Monday 19 April – 1pm to 4pm drop-in

@ St Thomas’ Anglican Church – 29 Callisto Dr Cranebrook

Cost: Free

This Nepean Community College workshop is designed to help seniors learn how to use a computer and feel comfortable using various applications that are available to them, for example, how to search on the internet, staying safe online, Connection with others online and much more. Drop in anytime between 1pm and 4pm and learn some new skills in a relaxed and friendly environment.

 

Tai Chi exercise class @ Tom’s Church

Tuesday 20 April – 10:30am

@ St Thomas’ Anglican Church – 29 Callisto Dr Cranebrook

Cost: Free

The Tai Chi session uses Tai Chi Chu’an principles to increase gross muscle strength in older people (over 50’s), which may improve balance and reduce falls in this age group.

This is a 30 minute lesson. Please wear loose clothing, shoes & bring some water.

 

Grandparent’s Day at Tiny Toms @ Tom’s Church

Sing, play, do some craft and have some fun. Don’t forget to bring your grandchildren! Tiny TOMS is a playgroup run for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Please bring your grandchild’s morning tea. Adults’ morning tea is provided by us. Parents and carers welcome too!

Learn more about the Penrith Library, join up and start accessing your Library resources straight away, at this pop-up event.

 10.30am - Introduction to Apps and E-Books 

Bring along your tablet or smartphone and learn about the Apps you can download to your device, including the Service NSW App for quick Covid-Safe QR Code Check-Ins, the Senior's card App and the Penrith Library App. We will also look at how you can use the Library App to download e-books and audio books, from the comfort of home.
